Notable dates for York's of Houlton
1968 Gerard York purchases the Ralph L. Berry Co., the County’s first Ford dealership, and one of the oldest in the country. It is re-named York Ford Sales.
1975 Both Dick and Jerry York join the company.
1979 York Ford Sales outgrows their in-town location and builds a new, modern facility on a seven acre site on U.S. Route 1.
1983 Lincoln and Mercury franchises are now part of York Ford Sales.
1990 York Ford Sales becomes York Ford-Toyota when the Toyota franchise is granted to the company.
1993 Another notable change takes place when four General Motors franchises are obtained. Chevrolet, Oldsmobile, Pontiac and Buick are added for a total of eight franchises and the dealership becomes York’s of Houlton.
2004 Fresh Start Finance Co. is formed to help consumers with less than perfect credit.
